Development Education Resource Pack - KS 2

Bring global issues into your classroom.

Our Key Stage 2 resource pack offers valuable case studies drawing on our experience working with subsistence farming communities in rural dryland Kenya.

The pack aims to raise awareness in primary schools about international development, water and the work of NGOs in Africa.

The pack offers 12 session plans with relevant activities to be delivered over a 6-week programme. The sessions are illustrated by pictures, slideshows and videos.
By having an insight into the daily life of their peers in a developing country, young children are encouraged to get thinking about global issues and their potential solutions.
Our resources focus in particular on the crucial role of self-help community development, environmental conservation and sustainable farming to address the challenges faced by people in developing countries.
