The TreeCards brand can be used on cards and stationary ranges. By licensing the brand, the purchaser will be assured that trees are being planted on their behalf to compensate for the paper being used. Trees are planted by farmers working with Excellent Development on their farms, and include many rare and endangered species. Trees and their products are essential for the provision of food, fuel, building materials and medicines for the communities we work with, as well as improving soil and water conservation and helping to mitigate the impacts of climate change in semi-arid Africa. As an example, Excellent Development have launched its own gift card and wedding stationary range using the TreeCards brand. This innovative range uses recycled cotton rag 'paper' and incorporates real flower petals, giving an unusual and beautiful product. Since the profits are used to plant trees, and the product is not made from trees in the first place, the impact is doubly positive for the environment.
