Lotto Winner Makes Excellent Choice
Jenine Langrish was the only Hornets fan with a smile on her face during Bolton’s 3-0 FA Cup victory over Watford – after scooping the Watford FC Foundation Lottery top prize of £10,000.
Understandably Jenine was delighted with her win. She says: “I was sitting in my seat in the ground and thinking ‘it will never be me’ and was really shocked when I heard my name.” Now, as well as buying “one or two luxury items” for herself, Jenine is to kindly donate £2,000 to charity Excellent Development. Founder Simon Maddrell remarked “This generous donation will benefit some of Africa’s most disadvantaged communities, helping them break themselves out of the cycle of drought, famine and poverty.” Through her elation, Jenine expressed her desire to use her winnings wisely, adding that “That’s why I have committed £2,000 to assisting Simon and his team at Excellent Development.com. They are an organisation that can make a real and lasting difference to peoples’ lives with a relatively small amount of money. Their development work benefits the environment and provides long term solutions rather than short term fixes.” With supplying a family with clean water costing just £5, Jenine's generous donation will help to save lives by providing local communities with water security in the drought stricken areas of rural Kenya.
